Brad’s a great rider. HOw’d he do? That endurocross stuff looks a lot like the trails up in the adirondacks 😀 only without the spectators :lol
sad to hear. Never got a chance to meet him.
Just got my July/Aug issue in the mail a day or two ago. Been a busy summer. I’m sure the volunteers who are writing it are out riding, right now! 😀
Nice pictures, Jess. Should have come said hello! And WHY didnt you ride in the trials? you would have done well!
Here is a link to Jon Beck’s Gallery:
Hey Jason,
Does Jon have any pics elsewhere? That FB album requires a login.
Yah, they would have been Smugmugged, but the Connection Failed sometime overnight… and FB was a way to get there faster. HE’s flying home today and should get them up soon, I hope. There’s a few good ones of you floating around the ADV site, and I have video which I have yet to edit. :thumb
My friend Andrew took some pictures:
I think its too bad you felt that way, Jess. It was very casual. Ah well, NEXT TIME 😀
Think we got permission to turn the firewood pit of death on the Trials course into a bonfire, Saturday night 😀
Yes, there are several different versions of Dual Sport rides available- all of varying intensity, if you will, and I think the worst of the bunch will be on Saturday Morning. Short Ride of Great Difficulty 😀
All week long prior to that, though, Route sheets will be available from Steve Mauk at Max BMW motorcycles. Something for every skill level and every tire.
158 miles of racing on twisty mountain public roads (that have been legally closed for this race)
Date: About 2.5 weeks from now, Memorial Day Weekend. 1 day of checking out the roads and a practice, then two full days of racing
Where: Linden, TN, about an hour west of Nashville
Who: You. No previous racing experience is required. Each rider is let off at one minute intervals, so you’re racing the road, not elbow to elbow with other people.
Nice to meet you, looking forward to the in person part.
Nice to meet you, Jack. Looking forward to actually meeting you this summer. got pics of your bikes? 😀
This is a really cool slideshow by Bill Dragoo, one of this years GS Trophy in South Africa team.
