Is it correct that tours of the museum are included in the Rally fee?

    Can’t wait!

Having that streach of 411 closed is a BIG headache for the Smokey Mt Park. Long way around to get to the other side of the park as 411 runs right through the middle. Don’t know where ti is closed, but from the TN state line around I 40 to Gatlanburg is over 2 hours

Looking forward to the rally. Had a blast last time, except for the shower situation. Hope the planning for this years rally will take into account that the MOA is 3,000miles away this year and there will be a lot of people there.

Thought I saw somewhere that camping will be in a different place than last time. We liked it last time, our neighbors sucked but you’ll have that.

As the rally is about 45 min from home we may bring the cage and the bike so we can bring more stuff. Don’t know if we’ll have a hitch for the K by then. If we do then it will be bike only. Either way look for Bozo’s big top.
Is there any area for campers towed behind cars on the Biltmore property? If there is how do we make space reservations. Thanks
I’m far from anyone who is making the rules, but yes there were campers there in 07. [[{“fid”:”6660″,”view_mode”:”main_image”,”type”:”media”,”attributes”:{“class”:”media-element file-main-image”}}]]
The rally site is the same as 2007, but for those who attended in 07, as you are facing the site, flip it. Where we had the vendors, entertainment, etc last time, was, in my opinion, a better camping area, with more shade and much nicer grass.

    2013 Rally Co-Chair
That is a great move to flip the areas. My wife and I even talked about that we were camping on the wrong side in 07.

Do I understand it correctly that rally registration will be at Eurosport Asheville, meaning that volunteers for registration will have to go there for their shift?

    Can’t wait for June!
The vendors will be that area this time around, and the tents will be in the area where the vendors were the first time. There appears to be plenty of room for vendors and campers, but I am not the official on the subject.
If you look at the Rally Site map it looks like the electric and camper / RV sites will be along the river on the same side as last time. So far there is no indication of any power on the other side where the vendors etc were last time.

Lots of things to see and do. The Blue Ridge Escarpment is fairly close to Greenville. Any road that crosses it gains around 2,000 ft in a few miles :hurray. The BMW plant is right down I 85 (depending on where you are staying), the Zentrum is a good stop. Riding is also very good. About 2 hours from the Highlands area and North GA.

We ride a loop of 276 – 215 and 178 a good bit (4 – 5 hrs). The Blue Ridge Motorcycle Camp is on 276 and a good stop. Usually 276 to the campground to stay then 215 – 178 home. Either direction is a great ride. SC HP like to hang out on the SC side of 276 and 178 looking for squids.

Also the Wheels Through Time Museum is about 10 miles from the 276 – 215 Junction but is probably a better stop to spend a good bit of time at.
If the Biltmore is on your bucket list, please go! It will be a great time. In 2007 the crowd was double the expected number. Camping has been moved this time and Debbi Harbour is the rally chair. She’s getting all her ducks in a row. I look forward to the Biltmore in 2013. Hope you reconsider.

We had a great time @ Biltmore in 2007. Camped in the field. The only issue with camping was the amount of available shade and the shower facilities. Once we realized the size of the crowd it explained much about the showers. Good part of the camping is that it was along the river. Everything else about the 07 Rally was exceptional and I’m sure that the RA will be prepared for next years crowd. We’ll be there and will be looking forward to signing up to help out and have fun.

OK we won’t hold you to this but can we at least get a little info?

    North, South, East, West, Central

    Spring, Summer, Fall

That would at least let some of us be in or out now

Yes they are now closed. It’s a real shame. Loved visiting the place. DO NOT SPEND ANY $$ in Maggie Valley. They ran the museum out of town.
