Great time in Petosky. Gary Newby did an outstanding job in and around the airheads tent.
Even had to don his security hat for a local “wannabee” organizer.

Quite a few members of the BMWNEF BMW club from the Jacksonville area are riding up. Some are going Wednesday to arrive Thursday while others will make it a 1 day trip up on Thursday. My plan is a 1 day trip, probably on Thursday as well. I here registration #’s have been very good. Should be a good time.
This will be my first International Rally. I signed up for the camping option.
Are the campsites on the Biltmore Estate itself?
What are the facilities (bathrooms showers?)
What time can we start arriving and setting up?
Can we park our bikes next to the tents?
I am planning on taking 2 weeks off from work and spending at least 10 days in the Blue Ridge Parkway area.
Let’s hope weather is warmer than last years rally at Copper Mountain, CO. Great rally, but it got below freezing every night. Don’t miss Mt Evans if you ever get out to this area. Far more of a thrill ride than Pikes Peak. The riding around Asheville should be great as well.January 3, 2011 at 3:31 am in reply to: Keith Code’s 2-Day Camp at Barber Motorsports Park (02-03 June) #63828
I certainly hope we can put something together for RA members / attendees to get on the track for at least a sighting lap of the Barber track. Some sort of special rates for attendance to a Keith Code school would be an even bigger perk. The street is no place to explore the potential of a s1000rr.
Purchased sight unseen in 2002. It was shipped from Cleveland to Jax, FL. I had a German friend look at it and ride it, but he missed a “few” key items. Several $1000 later it’s a nice rider. It will always be my 1st. For a long time I thought I would ride Harley’s forever. After 22 years I was bored and disenchanted looking for a change.
