OK Karl: here’s the challenge. You’re first. Talk to me off forum about what your talk will be. Mine will be able having both tires go flat in the middle of nowhere in Utah…I’ve got great photos!!!
We are looking at the idea of doing a “Pecha Kucha”. This is a story teller’s cafe. What that all means is that you would be doing a 6 minute 40 second presentation about a topic of interest to the BMWRA community. It could be about a trip, an event that happened to you, a particular experience, a piece of equipment: almost anything that you could talk about in under 7 minutes. It would be “proctored” by someone of noteriety to the BMWRA community and they would intersperse stories they have with other member stories. If you want more information about this format, go to http://www.pechakucha.org to see more about this format.
As I said we’re thinking about running this as track along side a full seminar-type track if we have the room for it!
What do you think?
Great shots, however both my MP3 and my R1200ST didn’t sign modelling releases for the photos (LOL!)…can I get copies of them please?
I put round tie downs in the floor and haul 2 bikes in my 6×12 cargo trailer. You can also install wheel chocks. I don’t use wheel chocks but I tie down at 4 points for each bike. You should also balance the bikes over the wheels and not force them forward in my opinion.
Have her contact me if she hasn’t decided yet. I’ve been riding for 30 years and worked at a BMW shop and got many women into different bikes. So this is best explained in discussion how to respond. The R1150R may be a good bike for her…but it may not.
I’ll be there!!! If you want to talk before next week, email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. I sell and install Autocom and other stuff. You can see what I sell on my website.
Autocom and I will be putting in a door prize that’s a new Super Pro Automatic system. A great incentive for one lucky winner!!!!
Just made my reservations for a room at the rally and I was very UNIMPRESSED. The person I talked to knew about the rally but there aren’t pictures available (that I can tell) for all of the room types. And even though the website says FREE WIFI, it isn’t guaranteed. I’m planning to vend at the rally so I know I’ll need internet in my room. I would like to provide this feedback as I was quite disappointed with the person I talked to on the phone. Needless to say that I tried to do it via the website link provided first but couldn’t see all of the room types available there either.
Hope the rally is better….
This is my current GPS and it works great with my Autocom and my iPhone all bluetooth’ed:
At the time when all of this was going on, TopGear was probably in jeopardy of losing their status as the importer of the product. Now it is being imported by MID (McGuire Importing and Distributing) and everything is back to the quality you would expect.
