Thanks for sharing. Any more?
There will be food available around the Beer Garden from morning breakfast through the mid evening. However, we have told the vendor that after the morning and noon rush have ended, if they are real slow, that can shut down until the next meal period. There are also restaurants around the area.
Dwight, the only camping will be in the general camping areas. We had already asked Barber about this and Keith Code will be teaching his Super-bike school during the rally so he has access to the track and the areas around it.
There will be five day rides set up and within two or three days all of the routes with turn-by-turn directions and the GPS files will be on the rally web site. The routes will be from about 100 to 275 miles in length and all will be totally off interstates and on paved roads. We also have two people setting up GS type off road rides. This year the Biltmore is allowing us to build a GS type riding area on the Biltmore grounds.
There will be seminars (but I don’t have a complete list yet). You will be able to tour the Biltmore home, grounds, winery and gardens. There will be a vintage bike area and I am talking with the vintage BMW car club about having some vintage cars there also.
There will be a beer garden and live music every evening.
See you at the rally
I believe it is now official, registration will close at 9:00 PM and the Biltmore will close the gates at 11:00 PM and reopen them at 7:00 AM. This is the per the Biltmore and the RA will have no control over that.
The last I heard was the gates will be closed about 9:00 PM.
I spoke with some of the officials in Cherokee yesterday and was told it may reopen Monday, April 15th, a full month ahead of schedule. They are supposed to be repaving today.
:)If you look at the rally map, all of the tent camping will be to the right side of the road. The vendor area will be just on the left side of the road. The RV’s and such will be along the the road to the top of where the vendor area will be. There will be limited electric for the RV’s and the vendors. NOT ALL of the RV area will have electric.
My name is Kent Skoug and I’m the Region Rep for for the Carolina’s and eastern Tennessee. Sorry I did’t get back to you earlier but I’m still getting used to the forum and some of the web information.
Depending on just when you are coming I have a RA campout scheduled in Del Rio, TN April 26th, 27th and 28th. Drop me a note if you are interested. If you want just day rides out of Greenville, give me a call most any evening (828) 684-7425 and we can discuss them.
Most of that information is now on the web site and we would love to have any assistance. This year the registration will be at Eurosport Asheville, the new BMW dealer in Asheville, which is only about three blocks from the front entrance to the Biltmore.
Look forward to seeing you there.
