This website is both inactive and incomplete. Are you forcing us to go to the Facebook page? Is that media point better supported than this website? I really don’t want to go to Facebook (and I don’t have an account), but I guess I will if that is the only practical choice.

It is most likely fuel related. Pull the fuel pump assembly and look for a split hose or a restriction of some sort.
2005 is a Hexhead (although there were some early 2005 Oilheads)

Welcom Misti. Unfortunately, this forum is mostly dead. I guess all the action is over on Facebook (I don’t do FB), or everyone is busy riding!
Yes, West of the Mississippi would be great!
Utah. Awesome riding throughout the entire state.
I’m with you… nothing works for me like an RT!
Nice to see you as well Ponch! Hope your new job is going well!
To help, here’s two questions:
1. What do you like best about riding your motorcycle?
2. What do you fear/dislike most?
1. Leaning into a right hand turn as far as I can and then immediately transitioning to a hard left!
2. Asshats driving with one hand while talking/texting with the other. I can’t wait for auto-drive vehicles for these folks!
Your opinion is consistent with what I have been hearing from other riders. OTL is the crown jewel of BMW RA much like the national rally is the crown jewel of the BMW MOA. It would be very nice to see this web site start to become more popular and generate more content and value for our members.
I think the new RT looks better in person than it does in pictures. They did a nice job with it. My “old technology” 2007 RT still delivers the goods; it is good at just about everything and has been a reliable ride, so it is hard for me to justify getting a new one. That said, I still would want one!
Here is a place to start. The guy who puts these lists together rides all of the roads himself and he has high standards!
What size CalSci do you have Ponch? Mine is way below my field of view, so plenty of air flow. I have the “medium” size BTW.
