Magic Hat is one of them. Very tasty beers I must say. I buy a couple kegs every year.:thumb

Visit 10 breweries and get free tee-shirt! Amazing! I’m sure your passport will be stamped even if you don’t drink the beer since you are riding. Get a coke or a Pepsi. Try the Cuisine.

+6 or +12 on Magic Hat. The Summer “Wacko” labeled brew is extremely good!

It’s a good thing my LT has a great big top case. I plan on riding up on Friday and then hitting the breweries on Saturday. I’ll take out the the carpeting and leave it at the campsite. Then fill the topcase with a garbage bag full of ice and bring back a growler from each place. NICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, I have given this plan way too much thought!

The Alchemist is very good, and generally unknown outside of north central Vermont. I’m not a big fan of my neighbor, the Trapp Family Lodge, as they charge premium prices for everything and comp nothing, but their ales are very good! Magic Hat is more mainstream, but in a fun way. They often have experimental brews in their retail store, and while not all make it into production some of them are EXCELLENT. And it’s always fun to be surprised.

I didn’t realize Harpoon was also made in Vermont, they just recently started bringing that down here. I used to drink it all the time when I live in Boston.

Vermont has all manner of wondrous things but the natives keep them quiet. If the word gets out the Green Mountain state will be flooded with carpetbaggers from New York. I live in NY but folks in the Vermont club still refer to me as a carpet bagger.
