I want to go to Copper Mountain for the RA Rally but would like to trailer out. I have a small 2000 LB capacity trailer but my vehicles have only a 1000 LB towing capacity. I live just north of Cincinnati. Anybody interested in trailering out together? John Fischer jbfischer@fuse.net 513-385-1497

    John,

If you have a 2,000 lb capacity trailer, that doesn’t mean the trailer weights 2,000 lbs.

    A few questions to consider.

    What does your bike weight??

    What does the trailer weight??

What is the combined weight of the trailer and bike???

With the bike loaded on the trailer, how much weight is actually on the tongue of the trailer??

What is the max allowable tongue weight of the hitch on your vehicle?

What are you using as a tow vehicle???

I have Aluma MC-10 weights about 400 lbs, put my LT on it, tow it across the country with my wifes Bonneville. Maybe your tow vehicle can handle it??
