Any pics? I can’t seem to find any pics anywhere. Did you all have a good time?

Really hated to miss this rally, it looks like an excellent venue.

Had a really great time after adjusting to the altitude.

Thanks to everyone that was involved in pulling this great time off.

Thank you for attending. Couple of things weren’t perfect (in my opinion) but we did the best we could. We really tried to show you the best time possible. Can wait to see everyone at the Biltmore next year. Debbi will do a fabulous job as your rally chair.

I’m guessing the club lost money on this rally as attendance seemed WAY down. Honestly, I have been to 3 RA rallies and this was the worst in terms of food, beverage, and activities. We loved the area and the condo, but the best time we had was at the BBQ fest in Frisco. The riding was great though!

We had nearly 900 in attendance this year. That’s not a bad number. I’m happy that you found the riding to be great. Riding was the planned activity for this rally. It was a riding rally. We had 30 different ride maps to select from. Wish I would have had time to go to the BBQ fest in Frisco. I thought that would be an enjoyable time for everyone.

I disagree. The food was excellent. The setting was grandeur. The people were friendly and happy. The bars were accommodating and the beer very good. Even had Guinness on tap. The riding was unprecedented, Mike Rand having ridden hundreds of miles preparing maps, etc. The vendor area was filled with awesome fare. I even popped for three strong magnetic drain plugs… for a C note.

You can get great BBQ almost anywhere these days, but an intimate rally in the Rockies at a spectacular resort – priceless. Oh, I guess you missed the world class Mining Museum in Leadville, too.

I don’t know why, but west coast rallies alway seem smaller in numbers than east coast rallies. Two years ago at the MOA rally in Redmond, the little club from Little Rhodie (RI) had more members present than some west coast clubs. I went to the Biltmore rally in 07 and though there were problems, I found it to be one of the better rallies I’ve attended and can’t wait until next year for a return trip. Hopefully the mistakes from the first can be corrected this time around. Last years rally at Chippaw Falls was a really good old fashion type RA rally. The RA will never get the number of vendors as the MOA so get over it. If I want to see vendors go to the MOA rally. That’s what I do, or go on line. Well I guess I have ranted enough for today. I’m going out for a ride. later
