I looked at the NPS website map below and it does look likea portion of the trail is just north of our rally site. Maybe BJ from CT can investigate the trail further and provide us some recommendation for a ride with stops for short hikes.

I live in CT now but came from a farm between Turtle Lake and Cumberland WI. I’m gonna recommend two web sites to explore and you can incorporate your travels accordingly and as you see fit. The first is Pioneer Village in Cameron WI. http://www.barroncountymuseum.com/ If you’re in the area and it’s open, it’s worth a stop. It’s not your typical tourist trap. The next is the Ice Age Trail. http://www.nps.gov/iatr/index.htm If you pay attention, you’ll be able to see how the land was sculpted as you travel around Wisconsin. And finally, a general tourist website for Barron County. http://barronwi.govoffice3.com/index.asp?Type=B_LIST&SEC={BC6415BD-BF85-49C2-8381-7050E41E4D12} Most of the counties will have similar website that you should explore before you make the trip. So looking forward to this trip.:hurray
