The editorial in the October 2011 issue mentions an article about a custom built R75 Scrambler, but my copy contains no such article. Is this a typo or did something happen on the way to the printer?

Also, the editorial mentions a new Ducati V4 street bike with more power than the BMW S1000RR. I think the author is referring to the new 1199 Panigale, but this is a V-twin, not a four cylinder bike.

    Hi Karl,

Good catches, and let me just say it’s nice to know someone out there is REALLY reading OTL closely.

In answer to your questions: We had intended the R75 Scrambler article to go in the October issue, but at the last minute it wound up having to be deferred a month due to space considerations. The Editorial should have been changed to reflect this, but it wasn’t. Anyway, you no doubt found the Scrambler article at pages 38-39 of the November issue. Nice bike, don’t you think?

Regarding the new Ducati, you are absolutely correct. The Editor was referring to the new 1199 Panigale, which is indeed a V-twin and not a V-4. Apologies for not catching that during final proof-reading.

Hope you’re still enjoying the magazine,
    Assoc.Editor
