I’m a lifetime dirt/gravel rider and have never been on a sportbike or racetrack. Keith Code’s 2-day Superbike School looks very appealing, however I’m wondering if I’d be WAY out of my league. Anyone been through the program?

    Hi there,

My name is Misti Hurst and I’ve been a coach with the California Superbike School for the past 14 (gasp) years now! I can guarantee that you won’t be out of your league and that you will have an amazing time and learn a ton.  The majority of our students have not been on a racetrack before and are looking to improve their overall riding abilities.  They also come from all sorts of backgrounds and from all types of riding experience.  The coaches are highly trained to take very good care of you.

I’ll actually be at the two day camps in Monterey in October so please let me know if you will be there and come and say hi!  If you have any further questions about the school or any of the skills/techniques taught please let me know and I will do my best to help you out!

All the best and I hope you make it! You won’t regret it 🙂

I took the one-day Level I class at the RA rally in Birmingham, AL, in 2014 and thoroughly enjoyed it.  Don’t worry about being out of your league.  There will certainly be riders faster that you, but the course and the instruction is designed to take that into account.

    Thanks Karl, appreciate your response.

I’ll most likely sign up for the two-day level 1/2 at Monterrey in October. In the meantime I’ll try to find some paved twisties here in Iowa for practice…might be one or two in this state.
