Event plan and GPS routes will be posted here prior to the rally.

Join the GS Giants and your fellow RA riders on an adventure ride through one of the most scenic states surrounded by the Great Lakes.

It all starts right after the 4th of July with riders starting out in the Upper Peninsula for the Northern RAid and in Hell, MI for the Southern RAid.

Part I. July 5-6, 2017: Adv RAid to the Rally. This will be a rider’s choice and rider led RAid from either the Northwest (Upper Peninsula), or the South (Lower Peninsula), and can be done in 1 or 2 days with easy and more difficult route options. From the south, we’ll be leaving from Hell, MI and making our way up through some local dirt roads, a little freeway, and some ORV trails, (or not). From the North, riders will start in Mineral Hills, MI near Iron River and make their way across the U.P., and then over the Mackinaw Bridge to Petoskey. This can be done in one day if a more pavement option is chosen. Two days is recommended for the more adventurous options. GPS routes and details will be provided prior to the Rally.

Part II. July 6-9, 2017: BMW RA Rally. We will have GS day rides to some undisclosed locations throughout Michigan. There will be everything from leisurely rides through the Tunnel of Trees, to more ambitious ORV routes with a dash of pure Michigan sugar sand thrown in for the more adventurous. Both GPS routes and led rides will be available.

Part III. Shenanigans! What’s a GS Giant Rally without a little fun and entertainment. Thursday night we’ll run some elimination style slow races on the track, and then Friday night will be a good dose of barrel races. Saturday afternoon we’ll finish with the RA awards ceremony and celebration.

A Giants hospitality tent will be available at the rally. Michigan ORV stickers are recommended for all riders (Trail + ORV License = 2 stickers). These are available from local retailers, or can be purchased online from the MI DNR; http://www.michigan.gov/dnr/0,4570,7-153-31574_31577-305352–,00.html.

Giant participation is free with BMW RA Rally registration. Contact Jeff Hunter for more info.
