Recently bought an 850R.  Really enjoy it – reminds me of my ’93 R100R I bought new.  Anyway, am fixing some little things, and the trim on the left oil cooler has melted.  Ordered a replacement, but thinking I need to move / bend the bracket up a bit (maybe 1″) to get it further away from exhaust.  I assume this happened after the bike stopped, or in traffic, when there was no breeze on the plastic.

Anyone have this problem?  Oil tubes are flexible enough to  accomodate the movement, but one tube will be very close to the front telever – not sure if it moving will impact it.  Finally, it looks OK with the trim off – may just take off the other side to match.
