Used the Elephant bag for longer tours to AK and such but I have found it too large and will sell to get something smaller, want to buy it?

You would think if I can afford to buy a new 2016 R1200GSA money would not be an issue….But, $350 for the BMW bag seems like a lot….and this bag is smaller than the friendly giant bag for the 2005-2013 GSA. Anyone have success with aftermarket tank bag for this bike?

My latest book has just been published, and it is very different from my academic ones.

This new book is about my 25 years as an avid motorcyclist.  It is titled  Revved! Obsessions of a Midlife Motorcyclist and describes my immersion into the world of motorcycling and what I have learned about riding, myself, and life.

My website provides a description of the book and reviewers’ comments, both from well-known moto authors as well as from people who have never been on a motorcycle.  The website has  a link to Amazon.

I’ve been using a Givi tank bag on my 2015 GSLC. It is the tank lock style. The bag is built well and holds a lot of stuff. It’s 25L in size. It doesn’t have much in the way of organization though. Just two outside pockets. The width of the bag is a problem. At full lock to the right the kill switch hits and will kill the bike. For highway riding it’s not much of a problem, but off road it’s a big problem.
