I’ve looked all around this forum…
The forum is not the web site, just one part of the web site. Start at http://www.bmwra.org/ to get to the non-forum related pages.November 1, 2010 at 4:57 pm #62466
The preregistration form is now on the website and available to download.November 1, 2010 at 4:57 pm #62722
Sweetpea — I checked Cannonshot’s threads (his ride reports set the standard, so I always look for them), but in this case it is as I mentioned in the earlier post. Plenty of info about rides in the Chippewa Falls area and plenty of info about riding near the lake shores, but very little in between.November 1, 2010 at 4:57 pm #62467
Just faxed my registration for the rally. yeah!!!November 1, 2010 at 4:57 pm #62723

Overlooking the Eau Claire River.
Deep sand and mud holes to get to this overlook, not street bike friendly.
A good place to start or end any adventure 🙂November 1, 2010 at 4:57 pm #62470
Thanks! The home page was upper right and I always by habit look in the header on top…..:winkNovember 1, 2010 at 4:57 pm #62726

I’ll be coming in from Vermont fully loaded so am just looking for paved roads — the most scenic paved route from the UP to the Rally site. After getting there and offloading the tent, sleeping bag, food, etc we’ll head back out to explore fun back roads like some that Cannonshot has posted.
At this point I’m plotting a route from Munising to Chippewa Falls on Google Earth, using satellite imagery to modify the route toward hills, rivers, lakes, etc. But as in a past life, nothing beats human intel on the ground. 🙂

The SS Badger carferry travels between Ludington, Michigan and Manitowoc, Wisconsin and is offering 25% off passenger fares for those coming to the rally from the east. Who wants to do chicago traffic?. This does not include a discount for your motorcycle however. Here’s a link to their site. Remember to say you’re with the BMW RA!
