days and two nights of excellent rides in Maryland’s Catoctin Mountains with
historic Sharpsburg, Harper’s Ferry, and Gettysburg nearby. Guided rides on the
twisty country lanes and the dirt paths. Great paved and unpaved roads all
around and the Mid-Atlantic Backcountry Discovery Route is nearby. Dinner
included Friday & Saturday. Free camping or, for a modest fee, a bunk in
the bunkhouses. The Tiki Bar will serve beer & wine. The big campfire ring
will be stocked with dry wood. There will be seminars, a guest speaker, and
prizes!

The Square Route Rally is at Camp West Mar, an ideal rally site, boasting bunkhouses for those who don’t wish to camp (small extra fee), acres of free camping on comfortable grass fields or under a mature tree canopy, a large dining hall, a large, open pavilion loaded with picnic tables that serves as Beer Haus & Seminar Central, and of course large spacious bathrooms & shower houses. The rally site is in Maryland’s Catoctin Mountains. For our northern friends, it’s on the scenic path to the BMWMOA National 4 days later.

From US 15 in Maryland (south from Gettysburg PA or north from Leesburg VA).
At MD 77 (W Main St, Thurmont MD), exit and head west and continue on MD 77 for about 7 miles. Its name changes to Foxville Road. WARNING: MD 77 is a very twisty road with tight turns and narrow shoulders, particularly through Cunningham State Park – slow down and stay alert!
Turn left on Brown Road and stay to the right at the fork in the road that follows that turn. Make a left into the YMCA camp.
