(Denver, CO): The 30th Running of the Dogs, also known as the “Big Dog Adventure Ride,” has announced their last physical fraternal gathering. Themed the “Last, Last, and Nevermore” ‘Buttercup’ event, is slated for August 11-14, 2019.
Coveted invitations for Applications for the last Running of The Dogs event are being prepared and sent.
Charley Boorman, the “dashing” Englishman of LONG WAY ROUND, UP and DOWN, and his infamous adventure motorbike pal Billy Ward, have received invitations, proudly to be carrying the flag for Great Britain.
From Southeast Asia, The Wild KTM Man On Java, Ian Gatenby, (A.K.A. “The Big Fella” – photo attached), proprietor of The Rider’s Corner Bar and Restaurant in Chiang Mai, Thailand, a globally recognized motorbike traveler’s touch point, has secured entry sponsorship. How wild? While P. T. Barnum had his Wild Man of Borneo, here is a wild and wooly “grab your socks” 1:42 minute clip of Gatenby earning his title as The Wild KTM Man On Java:
Veteran and newbie Big Dogs seeking an Invitation to join in the fraternal folly of real high Rocky Mountain adventure riding and kicking Buttercup Nevermore down the dirt tracks, trails and pavement pounding for the “Last, Last” time should make their requests soon as entry numbers are limited.
“The BIG DOG ADVENTURE RIDE is neither a race nor rally. It is the annual gathering of a fraternity of honorable, like-minded, and serious motorcycle adventure aficionados sharing a similar philosophy, their way of being.”
