Tent camping will be on two large soccer fields and a large football practice area all located within 400 yards of the facilities. There will be room for some dry RV camping on the parking lot adjacent to Rally Central. If you’d like a bit more services for your rig, the Hancock Recreation Area along the Portage Lake has 52 RV sites and is located about 3 miles from the rally. Options to Camping

Michigan Tech will be offering some Wadsworth Residence Hall (dorm room) options down the hill from the rally (Bldg 37); and are available for reservation beginning Tuesday May 6, 2008. All rooms are smoke-free, alcohol-free, and contain two "lofted" beds (see picture below). Since these are residence hall rooms maid or room service is not available. However you may exchange your towels and linens at the reception desk. Regular rooms use community restrooms that have private rooms with a toilet, sink and shower conveniently located on each floor. There are also a limited number of rooms with attached bathrooms. Maximum occupancy for each room is two. Regular Room- $28/night (single) $18.50/night per person (double) Room w/ Private Bath- $36/night (single) $23/night per person (double) Reservations can be made online after May 6th by visiting housing.mtu.edu and clicking on the BMW Rally link.

Michigan Tech Apartments / Daniell Heights (Area 32) offers one and two bedroom furnished apartments based on a weekly rental rate. Apartments are available on a first-come, first-served application. Apartments are located just a short distance from the Rally site. The apartments are furnished with the "basics only". Items such as table lamps, blankets, towels, and cooking and eating utensils need to be brought with you. However, we can provide you with some of these items for a small fee. Off-site

Houghton and Hancock have many reasonably priced Hotels within 3 miles of Rally Central. As of March 15 th, it’s estimated that they are 60% booked, so hurry if you don’t prefer the “Great Outdoors”. Ask for the BMW Rally rate!
