One of the most scenic rides is M-119 "Tunnel of Trees". Although only 20 miles long, this road hugs the eastern shoreline of lake Michigan through a dense forest. On one side you get a glimpse of old summer cabin homes and on the other side, you see the glorious Lake Michigan shoreline. Lotsa twisties!! Heading north, the route leads to Cross Village, home of a unique turn of the century field stone and driftwood Polish Pub called Leggs Inn which sits on a bluff over Lake Michigan.
World famous Mackinac Island is only an hour away from the rally site. You can board a ferry from either side of the Mighty Mac Bridge. The only transportation on the Island is by horse, bicicle or by foot.
