Chuck Auckerman

Just days after I saw him at the rally, Chuck died in his sleep. Most of us (the local riders) are simply shocked and surprised as Chuck was only 59. He was an active rider with well over 100k miles on his R1150GS, many of those put on during trips into Canada.

He was the main force keeping the Blue Ridge Beemers active in the early 2000s, with an email list and an AOL site, and always took the lead in keeping the monthly eat & ride events going.

There as some details on the BRB site here.
