We need your input

“We are thinking about creating some ads to promote the RA.  We need your input!!  As a club, how is the RA unique or different?   What do you like about the OTL magazine?  And what do you like about the National Rally?”

In the end, the goal is to make it clear to the riding world what the BMW RA stands for!

Thank you for your consideration.

Simply reply to thsi thread with your opinions.

I can only compare the RA to the MOA as I have been a member of both since the 80s.  The OTL has better BMW information (not as good as it once was) than the ON but it is better.  I like the Rallys because they are much smaller which makes better locations available and the tendency for them to be on the southeastern USA is a nice contrast to the westward leanings of the MOA.

I belong to the MOA and RA. Seems ON is a little pollyanna. Nothing of a critical nature at all and I mean even constructively critical in terms of reviews. If Ford made an edsel motorcycle, it would get a good review. OTL is more straight forward. Thanks.

I think you need a better website and forum. The MOA has the better of that. Shoot, even BMWLT and BMWSportouring are better. Setup the site to connect with tapatalk or motorcycle.com apps. I think you need to work with the clubs more too. People relatively new to BMWs don't know who you are. May be a presence at some smaller Rallies too.

Re: We need your input

I think we should be thought of as "home town banker" -> Home town BMW Club! We are small - let's capitalize on that - we know who you are and what you like. Generally speaking the members are a gregarious group; we like to talk and tell stories about our events - both good and bad. Maybe a larger section in OTL that provides opportunities for "stories."

I been to both org's rallies - the rally at Biltmore was fantastic - MOA could never have done that - also the Barber Motorsports Museum venue was exceptional! Please keep up that type of venue for our annul rallies.

I flew the RA Banner at Bob's October Fest. Almost all of the attendees I talked to at that open house knew of the RA. So why don't more riders join? Is it the return ? What do I get for my dues? Therefore, What do members get - a great publication; Yes! What else? Discounted tickets to ____? Reduced fees at ____? In this day of questionable economy, we are all looking for the ROI> That is where we will entice more riders/owners to JOIN the RA! just my opinion - I could be totally off base. Agree on getting better forum software. It also seems the traffic on the forum is not as high as I would expect it to.
