Is the RA going to have an election this year

So is the RA going to have an election this year? I went to the July/August issue and you would think it this announcement would be there to announcing the upcoming RA Board of Trusties elections. With the OTL going to 6 issues a year the September/ October issue, members would not get this information until late October, early November time frame depending on the time line for printing the OTL. If one follows the time line that is spelled out in the By-Laws. The Nominees will not have the appropriate time to respond to the announcement for the elections. So with no announcement anywhere (OTL or RA Website) by the RA BOT do they even plan to hold an election?

ARTICLE 5. ELECTIONS
Section 1. Commencement of the Election Process
The election process will begin with the publication of election procedures in the September issue of the Association newsletter/magazine “On The Level” published each election (“odd”) year.
Section 2. Nomination
Any member may nominate another member, as long as they have their permission, to include in writing the following:
(a) The full name(s) and address(es) of the member(s) being nominated
(b) The office for which each nominee is being nominated
(c) The full name, address, BMW RA membership number, and signature of the member offering the nomination. Self nominations are not permitted.
(d) Nominations are to be submitted to the Association Secretary and shall be taken for thirty days after the commencement of the election process. The Secretary will confirm each nominee as a member in good standing. He will also confirm with them their nomination.
Section 3. Acceptance of Nomination/Campaign Statements
Nominees will have another thirty days, or sixty days total after the commencement of the election process to accept the nomination by written notice to the Association Secretary. Each nominee is entitled to place before the membership, before the end of this sixty day period, a short biographical/campaign statement via submission to the Editor of “On the Level”.
Section 4. Balloting
Approximately 120 days after the commencement of the election process the Association newsletter/magazine (January issue) will publish containing statements by nominees and ballots.
The membership must complete and return their ballots within the time specified on the ballot.
(a) For each office the candidate will be elected by a simple majority of ballots returned.
(b) For trustee, the five candidates receiving the greatest number of votes shall be elected
(c) Election results will be published in “On the Level” the month following the close of the election

So the question has been answered. Now the next question did the RA BOT forget that there was election because after I posted the question if the RA was going to have an election. The very next day, I get an email from the Chartered Club Coordinator notify clubs of an election. I have a response from the RA President and the information is on the website. The problem now is the day all this information is posted on the RA website is the same day that the election commences and nominees now have 30 day to respond if they wish to run for a RA BOT position. What happened to advance notification of this election to our membership that state the starting date of the election and the time lines for nominees to have their information into the RA? Most members will not receive their OTL’s until later in the month or they do not use the RA website. This leaves little or no time for a member to decide if they wish to run for a position, because the most of the 30 days are gone.
