Dunlop Motorcycle Tires, www.dunlopmotorcycletires.com ,will be a vendor at the BMW RA International Rally in Petoskey, MI July 6-9. In support of the BMW RA Dunlop has donated a pair of new Dunlop tires as a major door prize. Here’s a link to an independent review of the new Dunlop Roadsmart IIIs by Ultimate Motorcycling https://ultimatemotorcycling.com/2017/02/26/dunlop-roadsmart-3-review-performance-motorcycle-touring-tires/ . They are also extending their rebate on a pair new Roadsmart III tires for the duration of the rally AND if you purchase your tires through the local master dealer in Petoskey during the rally, submit the rebate form, you will get $110 rebate in the form of a prepaid card from Dunlop. That’s a $50 bonus on top of their National Rebate offer.
The local master Dunlop dealer is Highland Trails, www.highlandtrails.net . They are located about 8 miles NE of the rally site at 2953 US-31 in Alanson, MI 49706. To get a quote on your tire size and to make sure that they have your size in stock, call or email Shaun Robinson at 231-347-3383 or email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Highland Trails are discounting Dunlop tires during the rally and also discounting their mount and balancing services.
For example, a Dunlop Roadsmart III 120/70zr17 front tire lists for $172.99 Highland Trails’ discounted price is $128.00 and a Dunlop Roadsmart III 180/55zr17 rear tire lists for $232.99 Highland Trails’ discounted price is $161.00. That’s a pair of new Dunlop Roadsmart IIIs for $289.00 less Dunlop’s Special Dunlop/BMW RA REBATE of $110.00 for a net of $179.00 plus tax. Highland Trails is also offering specials on mounting and balancing. Their regular “wheel in hand” price is $35.00 a wheel but during the rally it’s $25.00 a wheel and if you’re lazy like me they will remove and replace your wheels, mount and balance both front and rear for $90.00, $22.50 less than their everyday price!
Remember to take advantage of these prices, you need to call or email ahead to reserve your tires.
If you are interested in having Roadsmarts (or other tires) installed by Highland during the rally, you need to contact Highland to let them know which tire sizes you need and which day you'd like to have them changed. Shawn should also be able to get dual sport tires also.
Highland's website is http://www.highlandtrails.net/
PS- This is a great deal, I'll be checking which bikes I need new tires for!
