MOA national rally in TN

It appears from some posts on the MOA forum that the 2009 national rally will be in Gray, TN. Any comments from our TN members?

Great area, but did it last year and for all its bells and wistles I dought that the MOA site can compare with Ashville. Also quite hot in July and I'm already reading there is not much shade at the Gray site. I'll wait an see where the RA is going to be held, or hit one of the rallys held around the country by local clubs. Just my two cents on this. I'm sure there will be plenty of interesting thoughts on the MOA site in a few weeks.

The area is great. There are wonderful mountain roads with unlimited choices in routes. I don't even need to mention the classic roads within 100-150 miles. There are hotel rooms (Bristol races handle 160,000 people twice a year). Finally, the weather should be good with cooler than at lower elevations. We welcome all!

I live in Virginia about 60 miles from Gray. Gray is in the mountains of East Tennessee and hot here is not like hot in flat country. Even if it gets to 90 in the day time (not common), the nights are cool and the humidity is low.

There is more good riding around here than any place I have been if you like curves, mountains and not a lot of people.

I can't wait.

I already have my B&B reservations, and for the first time my wife will be riding with me all the way down to TN (for longer trips, she takes a plane to the destination). I think it's going to be great! As no one seems to know where and when the RA is going to meet this year, I may take more time and do lots of side trips.

Great! I've never been to two rallies in two weeks, though. Does one get "rallied out"? Our other alternative is to continue South after the MOA (MS is the only state I've not yet visited in the lower 48...), so this is not merely an academic question.

You are in for pleasant surprises and wonderful treats when you visit Mississippi, especially if you like food, music, golf and people. Try to allow enough time to see what you have been missing.
